The Operations Division of the Spartanburg County Communications/9-1-1 Department has responsibility for the day-to-day 9-1-1 operations and activities. The division consists of the Deputy Director, Shift Supervisors, Assistant Shift Supervisors, Telecommunicators (I, II, III) , and Call-takers. These are the personnel who physically answer and process the thousands of 9-1-1 calls that are made every year in Spartanburg County. Also part of this division are the computer technicians that have responsibility for our computer systems, specifically the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System. 

Two (2) of the Department's goals directly affect the operations staff:

• Provide the most effective emergency communications possible for the citizens and visitors of Spartanburg; and
• Provide City/County public safety field personnel with professional communication services with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and cooperation.
